Become a Champion.

A real-life Gym Leader league for the Philadelphia region — mono-type Gyms, unique badges, and a yearly tournament season.

Our goal ten years ago in 2016 was to create a Pokémon League that better represents the league system found in the video games in real life. We have organized Gym Leaders who use mono-type teams that people can challenge for amazing unique badges for the Philadelphia region.

How to Get Involved

The easiest way is to join the Facebook Group. We will send monthly invites to our various events there. Philly Pokémon League is a great place to meet our amazing community that we have had the pleasure of being involved with. All of our events are posted on Facebook.

21+ · Bar-hosted events. These events are almost all adult focused and held at bars within the Philadelphia area and as such are only available for people over the age of 21. Age may be a restriction to join — we do encourage trainers of all skill levels to come out and play! Battles for tournaments and Gym Battle challenges will be held on the Nintendo Switch and/or Nintendo Switch 2 systems. The Pokémon game that we play for our challenges and tournaments is Scarlet and Violet.

Tournament Season

We have also been organizing tournament play within the Philadelphia area. We will continue our yearly escalation tournament season culminating in the crowning of the Champion of Philadelphia to the trainer with the most tournament points throughout the season.
